I had two sites booked in April I contacted both to explain I wouldn't be going due to the virus. The first site I had paid in full and the second I had paid a deposit I haven't had any response from either site, won't be using either of them again if they can't even acknowledge my email.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I paid in full for three nights at a site in North Norfolk contacted them via email as they were not answering the phone I was told they can't refund but iam welcome to rebook later as they would go bust if they refunded all there bookings , although all small business are getting 10,000 non refundable grants from government at times like this they should be looking after customers not just taking there money. The good ones will survive .
They will lose a big chunk of money this season, so they will need to keep money and give out credit notes and transfer bookings.
------------- XVI yes?

Maybe we should all be contacting Rishi Sunak and saying we want compensation. The government forced us to cancel so they should pay us the money we lost.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
We had booked 2 rooms at a Premier Inn in Devon for the last weekend in March for our grandson's christening. We booked at the lower non flexible non refundable rate because when we booked, we assumed the date was set in stone. When the lockdown was announced and Premier Inn announced all their hotels were closing, we assumed that our payment was lost as it was booked at a non refundable rate. A visit to the Premier Inn website said that all bookings, including non flexible rates were to be refunded. I received a refund for both rooms quickly. I will certainly be booking at Premier Inn again.
I had an Easter booking which I have transferred to August, don't normally do August , but we had a long weekend booked with haven in May they have informed me today that it's cancelled, I have 3 choices, cancel with refund, rebook another date with the guarantee in covid19 cancels our new booking we will be covered, plus a 50 pound voucher for food and beverages. The third option is to book a date in the future if you can't set a date yet, this has a 6 month limit.
Haven isn't everyone's favourite but I'm very happy with the service.
If you rebook and it's cheaper they will refund the difference, if it's more expensive then you have to pay the difference which is only fair.
I feel sorry for those that are having difficulty, it's early days yet June maybe in doubt, wait to see if they are as accomodating
