We are going on the first Saturday courtesy of UKCS. Won thew tickets in the comp. We will be wearing our UKCS baseball caps. If you see us make yourselves known.
Sarahk most caravanners are a canny lot and a lot of us take a picnic with them as the food can be quite expensive. Just get the old man to cart a backpack round with all the goodies in. However wifey likes he tea about every half hour and refuses tea in a flask so what we save in food is lavished on tea bless her. Be careful there are a lot of gimmics there but also good stuff. We bought last year some non stick pans by Tefal, 1 small, medium and large, fry pan and spatter tray all with detachable handles and paid about £50. We thought wow that was expensive but they are brilliant they stack in a smaller space especially in the van you dont have handles poking everywhere and quality is very good. Wifey is thinking of buying a set for the house. If you dont lose 5 pound walking round there I will eat my eeerrrr supper.
teehee chalkie. Lets see who clocks up the furthest on the pedometers e'h! I'll do as you advise and let hubby carry the back pack! That or have a nosh in the car before we set off, like your wifey I too hate drinks from flasks so we'll have to buy those!
I've just go my tickets come through and i'm really glad I chose the 26th (not because it was the last day by because the Premiership football Trophy will be there) It was something to brib the kids with. Might pick up a bargin! but then again may spend a fortune. I've had a look at the list of stand holders and will be doing my homework before I go.
Great tips re food - will do a good old English Breakfast before we go and take a few snacks / water / pop. Luckily we only live 7 miles from the NEC, so the start is not too early.
To spot me I will be the one with 2 stroppy looking 13 year olds (boy and girl).
i will be going on saturday 25th, this will be the 3rd time ive been to the nec, its a great day out, thanks for telling us about the c.cc stand cas will look out for that
hi again kidsmadhouse yes it is sunny here in Lichfield too but -2.0degrees. I have 3 kindlings 21, 18, & 16 and they flatley refuse to go to the NEC. In fact I bought a 6 berth van and they dont want to come away with us - oh bugger that was a waste of money.
We will be going on the 18th as we received complimentary tickets from doing the competition via this site - didn't expect to win anything (as not normally the lucky type!) and as it was my first time doing this was really happy! Would have liked to have gone on the last day, but we are going away for the weekend near Stratford Upon Avon with our two dogs (they've got to have their little treat too!). Had thought about going before, but after spending so much money on our first caravan and all the accessories, we decided against it as it would cost £25 for the tickets. I've just had a birthday and my partner's is tomorrow so money we get as prezzies we will be taking with us - bang goes the idea of putting it straight into the bank to cover the cost of all the things we keep buying for the caravan!! We will be taking our own lunch with us, but are planning to have a big breakfast before we leave as it will take us about 1-1½ hours to drive there.

As I am going on the 26th who knows we may bump into each other, I won't have any kids with me as my youngest is 27.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
