Can i sugest that those of you who find the van a bit on the low side use the simple method of running the van onto blocks to make the awning rail higher from the ground, as well the new light weight awnings of most types with curved fibre poles work better if the ground is level or sloping gentle away from the van if the ground rises as you walk away from van side you will have problems

Mmmm, not so sure that "running the van onto blocks" is simple. At least I don't have a problem with the ends of the roundabout pole banging against the sides of the caravan 'cos they never get that close to it.

We too had problems with this pole, being very tight and in a bit of wind the ends banging on the sides of the caravan.

 

I forgot to put this pole in one day, I left it as it was.

 

Since then I never use this pole, even when quite windy it all seems ok.

 

A problem solved easily, just what we like!!
