Hi Rumple, we have the same outfit as yourself, and having just spent the last ten days away, I found having the table up permanently restricted us, so it was a case of using it when necessary. Also found no where to put the wine glass unless you was sitting along side either window. Any useful advice would be most appreciated, great bed though.
Would like to compare likes and dislikes on this one.
Sue
Hello Suzy, sorry I haven't replied sooner but I've been very busy workwise. reference the table permanently out....I only suggested that to snifferty because I assumed (possibly wrongly so) as he was studying, he was on his lonesome....
As for comparisons, yes it would be interesting but I think we should do that on a seperate thread
my brother had a rialto 6 berth swapped it for an elddis superstorm because he got fed up with putting it back together every time he got home said it was light but build rubbish
It's technically illegal to tow a wider Hobby in the UK. My mate has one and has never been even as much as queried by anyone - you cant notice outside but it really makes a difference in. We have a fixed bed Cristall and it is great having the beds ready to dive into. We have the covers it came with and they throw over during the day. We can close our bed off from the rest of the van too. Cristalls new range are solid builds and now have the door on the UK side (unlike ours). Hobbys being refused on site is a bit of a myth - all club sites will have no issues with your outfit.
As everyone is posting their layouts then I will! We have the 530EB!
I beg to differ. It is NOT illegal to tow caravan with a width of 2.5 m in the UK. It is illegal to tow it with a vehicle that has a GVW of less than 3500 kg. The only 4 x 4 that falls into this catergory is the Land rover Defender 12 seater.
Hi Tiff How much I paid,.... got a real bargain buying private on Ebay.......
You gotta look around, and obviously be careful....
I think I dropped really lucky with an elderly couple who had hardly used it....To buy from a dealership would have cost me £11k +++..... Like I said.... I got a real bargain
Found no problems with any of the quality... it easily compares with most of the vans I saw at this years Caravan Show in its price range,.... looks the part, and is a very practical design.... its my fourth van in 8 years, & honestly believe we got the right design for us
The bargains are out there to be had - just make sure that the being had doesn't happen to you. Our 2004 Swift Challenger 550 LSE cost £11,000, Highbridge have the same exact model - they call it 2005 and want £12,995 for it. We have a number of caravan retaillers within a close distance. We went round them until we found a caravan which we liked, at a price we thought we could manage, from people we believe we can trust. This firm, though small, offer an after sales service which would be hard to fault. They are now in a position to turn service jobs away, thus concentrationg on their own caravan purchasers needs.
You haven't said where you live - north, south? I'm certain that we can supply you with trustworthy retaillers all over the country.
Thanks PP, I'm in Bedfordshire but going to be moving to South Lanarkshire so while I'll probably poke about looking at stuff down here, my Dad's car is oop north - tbh though for a good deal I can travel, it's a small country..
------------- Pass me a beaker of wine, that I may wet my mind and say something clever..
