we have an old van but love it

its a musketeer sprite GL
the van looks very good outside and in
the only let down is the people before us must have had a sticker or a reflector at the front and back that went right across the caravan , its left a really sticky black mark

i have tried to get hold of something to cover it or something to get it off but have had no joy
any ideas would be really good
(sorry if this has been covered before i have tried to check)

If you've got a paintshop near you that paints lorries, go & have a word with them, they'll have something to get it off for you without damaging the paintwork.  It might pay you to ask them how much they'd charge to sort it out.

If thay can't get the mark off, perhaps they could make up a sticker the same colour as the paint & put over it. Believe it or not, a chap I know bought a 40 foot artic trailer from an auction, he wanted to use it pretty quickly so he went to a paintshop & they cover the whole of both sides with huge plain stickers the same colour as the trailer & you'd think it had been painted. Ther's no sign of the signwriting underneath the sticker.

Give Fenwicks a call - they often come on UKCS with advice. I know Jon at Fenwicks and he is an absolute encyclopedia of caravan cleaning knowledge. Judging by that, his Dad (who I think is OMF who comes on here) must be second to none in terms of his knowledge base and expertise!

You can call them on 01270 524111.
