Hi Oaksoft, I too live in Scotland but we travlled to Carlisle to view the Sprintaway and then, when it was ready, they brought the van to us.

Unfortunately, the way things have worked out, I am now about to go into hospital and it will be almost two months now before I can get to play with the wee van but that's life. Its maiden trip will be a 31 day tour of the Western Isles.

We have a Freedom Microlite and are very pleased with it.  Ours is an early nineties model, but they still make the exact same model brand new so there has to be something right with it.  Not a hint of damp due to the fibreglass body.  It is a tardis, looks tiny from the outside but loads of room inside - ours is a three berth.  I agree they do not retain their value like an Eriba but it does mean that if you buy a used one it has done most of its depreciating and you can end up with a comparable model for a fraction of the price of an Eriba.  I guess it all depends how much capital you have to start with.  But I really like the Eriba's too, they feel more "premium" than a Freedom imo.

Also be aware that when you have an unusual van like the Freedom you will often get other caravanners coming to chat to you for a nose around.
