i agree with those who say sleep on the cut out side.
i just tuck my misses feet in on her side and she's happy.
would never go back to making beds up no matter how tall i was
changed back from fixed bed to a 2 berth . much more room in bed and more comfortable too . ok you have a 3 minute faff setting it up and putting it away but not the end of the world.
I am 6ft 1". We have a small van a fixed bed that is only 6ft 2" long. This is our first van, when we change might go for a fixed bed again but longer one. At present when in bed I end up either hit one of the panels at the bottom on the bed or the folding screen, I'm a restless sleeper according to my wife . Just been looking at 2014 vans and see that the Sterling Eccles Sport 514 although a smallish van has a 1.98m/ 6ft 6 inch bed, must go and have a lie down in one.
To avoid the problem of one of us having to climb over the other if we get up in the night, we went for a fixed twin-bed German caravan. One bed is slightly longer than the other (I think it's about 6 foot 4) so tall hubby has that, and we both sleep well.
------------- Il vaut mieux vivre ses reves que rever sa vie
I'll tell you on Tuesday morning after my first night in our van. I'm 6'2" and we have a fixed double with a corner lopped off. My better (and much shorter) half has that side so hopefully I'll be OK.
