We've been looking at a few 6 berth vans with end bathrooms simply because some of them have a massive wardrobe space taking up about a third of the bathroom itself.
Why do caravan manufacturers only put the same amount of hanging space in a 6 berth van as they do in a 2 berth?
End wash room are a must for Us. Firstly its a bit of privacy away from the kids when im getting dresses in the mornings and because 95% of out trips are Rallies that usually have very little in the way of facilities So a large end wash room is a must, i can pop of into the wash in the mornings and because the wardrobes and drawes are in there too i can have a shower and get dressed without my boys having to see there mom in the buff.
It all boils down to what type of caravaner you are i think.

Tis a mystery to us too!!
Jennifer
Mr U-M likes to take the washing up to the site facilities to do. He does it so that he can 'bond' with the other washer-uppers!! He likes nothing better than to chat to people on site.
It also makes sense when we have a lot of heavily soiled washing up and big pots to do. Even with a well designed caravan, there's not alot of room to work after a big meal, especially if we've had the outlaws eating with us too.
- He does always come back without the Fairy liquid though. Grrrrrr!
The only thing that goes elsewhere to be washed is the BBQ plate, it is too big and does get rather blackened!
It is OH's job to do that, but he tends to wait until the place is empty.
With only 2 of us, our washing up is minimal otherwise, but we do find there is much more available worktop in the Searcher than in our previous van.
It is people who use the facilities that cost us all the increased site fees. Let's all go back to using our own units. Can't remember the last time we used any facilities other than the tap. Sites should charge less for those of us who don't or in our case won't use them!

Absolutley, totally selfish to use the facilites on site...I know just what you mean!
If I could afford a nice expensive unit then I might use my own facilities exclusively but I think not ! I enjoy the banter waiting for the shower , I like the fact that I dont have to empty my wastemaster two or three times a day , I want to go away in my van and relax , not spend a good proportion of my morning washing down the bathroom .In all if you dont want to spend the extra on a nice site with nice facilities dont tell me i'm costing you money ,simply use cheaper sites (CLs,CSs) where the facilities are not so great !

We only wash the shower down once a week and only empty the waste if we are on a club site. Most Cl's ask you to water the hedgerow so that leaves fetching the water once a day!! No problem.
Using cheaper sites is what I said we do but Club sites are now so expensive many others are now using them. Obviously these people don't want the facilities either.
There are 32 Caravan Club sites without facilities and it is often difficult to book on them in a popular area. Long may they reign and can we have a lot more please??????
The Club has recently opened 2 new sites which are all singing all dancing ones. Haven't seen a basic site opened though.
hi after having a basic caravan with no toilet or bathroom in it what a nightmare but we did have a lot of fun in it,i was very pleased to get a van with an end bathroom its so nice not to have to race to the loo in the night,we do use the onboard shower sometimes depends what the sight showers are like, but i would not get another van without an end bathroom ever again.
We only wash down the bathroom occasionaly, but I wipe it dry after we have both used it (the basin surround and any drips on the woodwork, not the shower). I don't get this continual washing down. OH certainly doesn't have to fetch/emty water 3 times a day!
