Bunree because ever since I have been a memeber of the CC thye have used pictures of the site in their mag, and I have alway promised my self I would go there. And it's closer to the stuff we want to see like Glencoe,Nevis Range, Road to the isles and a spin over to Loch Ness.
Want more than a layby, I am getting concerned about the journey lengths from The Lake District to Bunree and back again, so am looking at options.

Certainly go through Callander and Crianlarich. A much better route, and just as quick.
We often stay at The Gart in Callander, which is OK for a stopover. Not sure I would want to spend my whole holiday there, but no problems.
You will love Bunree. North Ledaig is also very good indeed, nothing much to choose between them.
