Sorry Rossikey to hear about your son, I hope you had good news today. This time last year my 9 year old son broke a bone in his hand, nothing in comparison I know but I remember flinching everytime he ran around on holiday. Of course it didn't bother him, kids are so resilient. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will be OK for him.
Hubby came home today and seems OK. Cup of tea in one hand and the remote in another. We could be away in the caravan!! He's a bit more receptive to going away in a cottage at the end of the summer hols, which is good for all of us.

Thank you.. I hope you manage to get away soon.. It's so hard when your looking forward to a holiday and then that happens. I'm sure my son will be fine even if I have to give up my bed and sleep in the bunk lol... Hope you manage to get a break soon
What a lovely forum this is.. I have been on a few and everyone is moaning and having a go at each other. This is the only forum I have ever been on and everyone is just so nice to each other. Makes a lovely change and makes me want to come back on here everyday... Hope everyone gets lots of lovely sunshine for their camping holidays wherever you may b going and have lots and lots of fun times and happiness ...
I thought I had all the bad luck this year as my husband paid off in feb and having no luck getting work feeling sorry for ourselves
I read your message and hope your husband recovers soon and you can have a holiday as a family
Not been on the website (too painful) for the last few weeks but thanks, he's on the mend. Still lying on the sofa and we've had a few hiccups, possible infection, a slip on the wet floor (doh!!) but I hope now he's over the worse. I've booked a week over the BH to a cottage in Suffolk and a weekend in the 'van mid Sept. I'm not sure that's such a good idea but we could cancel last minute. Also, we moved our BH caravan weekend to the half term week in October. So all in all we willl be getting away. We've pretty much decided to repeat our abandoned 3 weeks summer holiday from this year and have it next year. Our friends are on their way back, as we speak and absolutely loved it and want to go again next year, so that's a bonus. It's been 4 weeks now since the accident and we still think it could have been worse and class ourselves as pretty lucky really. The upside is that I've lost weight as I've walked the dog every day and it's cut down on childcare over the summer hols. Although it's actually the child looking after the adult....Mmmm is that legal? Oh well.
Thanks for asking, Elaine. It's really sweet of you.
