We once camped in the north of Italy and many caravans had an extra cover over them. It looked like a small rail attached via the awning channel supported it. It is some time ago so my memory is not that clear, it could have been a permanent fixture to a seasonal type pitch. Some of the pitches had picket fences!
rain to me makes me feel cosy,as im warm and dry inside and its wet outside.The noise can get annoying if it rains for to long but i dont hear it when im asleep.
