Well we had a good night, doesn't seem to be as windy as yesterday. We'll have breakfast, pack up and see what happens.
We got to be off the pitch by ten but they said we can park on site till wind dies down if needed and still use facilities too which I thought was nice of them.
I know one thing, ill be putting plenty of weight over the axle on this trip to weigh the caravan down.
With the hard standings how do u manage to peg down, the ones here are like block paving type, surely ur better off with grass so u can peg it down well.
Thanks James, yeah ill be taking it easy, I'm a confident driver, I do a lot of millage etc etc lots of towing for years but the wind is unpredictable and is not to be played with. Nature is one thing that us humans can not control and it beats us easily over and over again.
Some times even us big hard men have to hold back and take the easy way out.!!!
Mark by hard standing do you mean the gravel stuff, we bought some rock pegs and they are really good, they go in easily :)
How's the weather today? Has the wind died down , safe trip home x

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
Thanks every one for your concern and advice, peoples concern is always nice and advice can be a life saver, very nice of u all. Roll on our next outing.
Thanks adandemsmom, oh no, its all part of camping and caravaning, being out in the wind and rain all hours of the night saving yours and other people's gear is all part of the fun.
I must say that the safety and security staff at haven were great, towed my van out if the mud twice with no Moaning at all, very helpfull even at 12.30 am in wind and rain.
