Hi there
I am new here so this is my first post and looks as though I am reopening an old favourite. We bought our first PDQ last September and initially were very pleased with it, however on only our second outing in what was no more than a stiff breeze the awning tore out of the bag at the leading edge ( it appears that this has happened to quite a few other people ). I contacted Pyramid from whom we had bought it direct and after sending photo evidence of said tear they replaced it without to much question. We had our first trip of this year last weekend to the Teversal site near Chesterfield ( excellent site! ) and took the new PDQ instead of our full awning. Unbelievably after only a few hours of us putting this one up, it also tore out of the bag in exactly the same place as the first in again what was only a stiff breeze. On our return I decided enough was enough and emailed Pyramid to tell them what I thought of their product and asked for a refund also saying I was happy to send both awnings back to them at my expense. As yet I have not had a reply but I was wondering if any of the other members who have had problems with PDQ's managed to get their money back if they had bought them directly from Pyramid.

Regards
Stessull

Happy camping!

Hi Stessull,

Sorry to hear of your misfortune with your PDQ.

I've just purchased a 2nd/hand (12mths old) one as i found our Canvas/steel pole Porch awning too heavy. The video clip looked so convincing to serve my needs - oh dear! i hope i haven't dropped a clanger- daren't tell OH.

Keep us posted how you go on with Pyramid.

Welcome to UKCampsite

Glad to read about bthe problem as we were just about to order one. Will go  to plan B ...when I think of one! We just cannot manage a full awning either.
