I'm planning on doing the same during the summer, my kids are 6 and 2 but the wee one will be 3 by summer. We've not decided where we're going yet, but I intend to go away for every possible moment of the holidays. OH will hopefully not have to be too involved as words start to get exchanged when we set up together, from past experiences. We've yet to take our new van out and get the towbar on my car so I can go. Soon as its done I'm off somewhere, hopefully for 1/2 term.

Good luck

This is all so positive its great.I am still worried about the safety issue of being alone in a caravan but then I thought what better place really than surrounded by other people only yards away in their caravans too so it could possibly be a safer option than say a b&b or cottage holiday anyway. So if you are out there on your own and you see a frazzled looking mum struggling with her van with three little ones clung on to her please be sure to call in for a cuppa or something stronger your advice has given me the confidence to go it alone. Thank you
