If it`s the push-in-the-button-to-start type you need to hold it in for at least 30 secs, try a minute, AFTER the piezo has stopped clicking and the gas has presumably lit. Then release it and see if it stays lit. Is there a small window at the rear of the inside of the fridge where you can see (barely) the flame? Very hard to see though, easier in the dark.
Check the flue vent on the outside for slight heat / smell of burnt gas as indication that it`s running OK.
