can anybody help We have just bought a second hand caravan with a philips cd/radio which works well but what I would like is a radio that has a timmer which can be set to go off If you set it at night or even better one that can be set to come on at a certain time in the morning does anyone know of a make and model that I could buy.
I would be very surprised if such a facility was available as these stereo's are made for the automotive industry, and you shouldnt need an alarm clock in your car....
But of course this is where I get proved wrong (again)
I thought this might be the case as I have just started looking and havn't found anything yet but you would think that with all the thousands of caravans and motor homes the Manufacturers are missing a trick

We have a small batterypowered radio (world receiver), but hardly use it. The mobile phone is used as alarm, and sometimes a small travelling alarm clock. The phone can be set to play music as alarm, or just call the time with a sweet female voice, or whatever you like.
I am not looking for an alarm clock to wake me up on holiday the point I was trying to make was I want a radio that you can have on when you go to sleep and set for about an hour so it dosn't wake you up in the night when they start shouting the news out and its nice to be gently woken in the morning by classic fm and not lots of noisey kids on site

here is an idea,get a timer and run it to the wiring on the radio,you can then set it to come on and off as you please,only downside is i dont know if you can get a 12v timer
Yep I gathered you wanted it to go off on sleep mode which is why I said stick a timer between the plug and the mains, job done. They are quick and easy to programme these days.
