awnings are a personal thing really it all depends on how much you are going to use it and what you want from it, a full awning can be a pain for quick weekends off, and a porch could be too small for the long hols, we have a full for the one or two week trips and a quick erect porch for the weekends, have a look at some of the awnings availiable and you will get a idea of the different prices, also have a vist to a caravan dealer that sells awning and you will be able to see the different materials. good luck
