Our caravan has curtains, and we would like to have blinds. Our kitchen window has a blind on it and we noticed that the frame for the blinds just screws into the wall and this got us wondering?   Does anyone know if you can buy universal balackout blinds for caravans, so we can fit them ourselves.

Thanks for your help

You can do anything you wish with your van bud.. have you tried the manufacturer to see if they do a set? If not any blind company will be able to supply. The only thing is that the roller part will be a little larger than caravan made vans - apart from that - if they fit then it's sorted. Mine has the fly screen/blind setup - and move up and down in a small track.

Had a look on t'internet for ya - http://www.cbscc.co.uk/caravan_and_boat/curtains.html

The remis kit are the business and have the fly and blind in one! In fact I wouldnt be surprised if thats whats in mine as they look the same. Dont look too dear.. although I reckon the blind company jobbies would be cheaper. Depends on what you want. I used to be in the dealer game and if you intend to keep the van then do what you like, if you intend to sell then I would fit the proper stuff as it may put buyers off.

Good luck and i hope that helps...

PS - OOh just looked on ebay - check these out.. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-5232-2978-1/1?AID=9479574&PID=1428744&mpre=http://stores.ebay.co.uk/caravanparts_CASSETTE-BLINDS_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ5293254QQftidZ2QQtZkm
