Hi I am having two problems wih my Bailey Pageant Burgundy, i have found that the cd/mp3 player does not play mp3s my dealer says that bailey have put the wrong one in and also the water pump is very loud (it wakes the kids up !!!) any one had he same probs
We bought our Bailey last year and we had a minor problem in as much as the outside locker the key lock barrel kept going round and round, I rang Bailey and they put me in contact with a mobile engineer, as I said there was no way I was taking it all the way back to Kent where our dealer was from. We can hear the pump when it's running, but it certainly wouldn't keep me awake, as it was our first caravan, we didn't know how much noise to expect.
Sorry I wouldn't have a clue if ours plays mp3's cause I haven't a clue about them but I ought to find out. Yes our pump is noisey but not dosen't sound as loud as yours.
WE have the new series 6 Burgundy and the wife has commented as to how noisy the pump is, with this being our first van we are not really to sure as to how loud it should/ shouldn't be. I'll have to see what it is like in some other vans.
Havent tried any mp3's yet in the stereo but will try and if it doesnt then surely it will be changed as they stated it will be mp3 compatible.
We have had exactly the same problems with our 3 week old Burgundy. It has been back to our dealer, pump a little quieter but now bearable.
MP3 player which doesn't play MP3's although does play ususal music cd's, we are advised is a warranty issue with Bailey, what that means I am not sure, but our dealer is taking it up with them.
We also had a problem with the status but this is now fixed and also the water tasted like tcp, also fixed.
I also have bad tasting water but put it down to the camp site so i got a water filter jug which did the trick, i did not know that the van was at fault thanks for that, i think i will wait untill the first service and i hope they will sort it all for me what do you think ??
Whatever you do put it in writing to your dealer now so that you have a record when the caravan goes in for a service. I do not have that sort of patience to wait that long to get somthing fixed especially if you are paying £10000 plus for a new caravan. In our case a whole lot more. If you had a knocking noise from your brand new car, would you wait until its first service a year down the line.
Ah sir we are so sorry but if you had notified us at that time we could have done something about it. Tough luck you have caused untold damage and it is now your problem!
When we got our caravan it was back at the dealers every week until they sorted out all the problems permanently! I don't take cr*p from stealers as it is my money that they have taken off me and I expect service in return and the goods to be of a reasonably quality. The pumps obviously are not! Stand your ground and get it repaired now.
