Does anyone have the above caravan and if so what size porch awning do you use.

If you dont have this caravan , can you tell me the best way of measuring for a porch awning. I am confused by the heights on the adverts for sale. My vans spec says 8.9 metres heigh for the exterior but the highest porch awning I have seen is 7ft. I think maybe I need to measure it differently as its only a small van and most of the awnings I have seen should fit I assume. Should I measure from the floor to the rail?? and what is the 8.9 of my van stated on the manafacturers details?

I think 8.9 metres high might be wrong...that's somewhere in the region of 29 feet

A full awning is usually measured along the awning rail from ground to ground...that could be where the 8.9 metres comes from. To check, thread some string through the awning from the ground at the front to the ground at the back, then take it out and measure it.

For a porch awning measure from the awning rail above the door to the ground and that is the height you require.
