does anyone have local information or know what the roads are like going into hull due to bad weather. im travelling from glasgow and pretty worried due to bad weather.
I live about 10 miles away from the ferry port and work about 4 miles away.
If you enter Hull via the M62 you should have few problems.
The main A63 into Hull is open and has no problems, the Hedon Road is also open, but might have some delays as the main flooding in this area is centered around Hedon (5 miles east of Hull) due to tides and standing water.
I would leave yourself plenty of time as the normal traffic build up around 4.30 - 6.30 PM will add an hour to your ETA, the weather/traffic/road situation may well add another hour.

I would say you could leave at 9am and still have loads of time, we have a little further than you to go and we usually leave at 9am, still plenty of time for a long lunch break. We always go on a Saturday too. Next Saturday for us.
Unfortunately I will be taking the Mother in Law and she will probably want to stop every 50 miles LOL, I also have a 3 year old so it would be easier if we started off early and he slept for most of the journey. I hope
