Hi bord could any body  tell me the nose weight of my 1994 swift challenger 490 5 berth. it tells you the caravan weights in the hand book but no nose. my car a bmw 728 1996 say 75kg but i carnt get it below 85kg geting  a bit worred as going to devon at weekend hope someone can help

The noseweight of the caravan will be whatever you make it and this is where some appreciation of car to caravan matching 'rules' come into play.

As a general guide the caravan noseweight should be about 7% of laden weight for best stability, but on the other hand the max hitchweight of the car's towhook must not be exceded, 75Kg in your case.

It's literally a balancing act which requires careful loading of the caravan and car.
