We had a Fammia 45i wind out canopy on the side of our caravan , it was very easy to use ie wind out and set-up , the down side was when the wind picked up the canopy had to be put away again to stop it flapping about .

Thanks peeps....
Has anyone used or got anything to say about the PDQ awning? I've read somewhere that although its very good, it has damaged the side of the caravan...

I wouldn't go there personally, lots of neg on this forum, do a search.
We have a Fiamma Caravanstore and love it, we even sat out in the rain last weekend. Always make sure it is pegged and guyed, ours is always stormstrapped too. We too have the side panels, they are expensive new, ours were 2nd hand, as new. Look on ebay for a caravanstore as lots of people are gong over to the Zip, but I agree with you, they are very expensive.

Has anyone thought of buying an ordinary household roller blind and attaching it to the van, held up at the front with two tent awning poles and guy ropes...cost about £35

Thanks Rizzo, I have looked at teh other posts about the PDQ, obviously the camp is greatly divided... some love it and some hate it. Oh, I don't kow what to do.
Him indoors, just says... we'll just get one and see but then if it is rubbish, there's £160 down the pan.
If anyone has any up to date info about the PDQ, as according to one dealer, they are bringing out a new model, then I would be grateful. Lots of the posts ended at the beginning of this year....
Thanks All!!

Hi Babydaisy , we bought one of these after reading reviews on this website Sunncamp_Ultima . Have a search for Sunncamp and see what you think .

Look under the for sale ads Daisy, my BiL has a burgundy PDQ for sale for £90, used twice, or e-mail me for his phone number.

Well, think about it...would you rather spend £300 or £35?

Rizzo,
Thanks very much for that, although I have now logged on too late it seems. We sold our big awning and bought an Outdoor Revolution Spacelite. Thanks anyway, we shall see how we go with that one!!!
