Sounds like an ex-travellers van - don't even touch it with someone else's barge pole.

wizard, have you ever repaired a damp ceiling? i have a small area of damp in the roof of the scorpio surrounding the gas fire roof vent, i have resealed the roof vent but i prodded my damp meter through the ceiling board and theres water visible when i press around the holes. i dont want to start stripping the roof lining out so any advice would be very much appreciated.
cheers

Hi Spencer , no m8 i haven't done a ceiling repair , but if you have water in the roof lining i don't think you have much choice other than to remove some of the ceiling board , maybe just remove a small area . One thing i did on a repair was peel the wall board covering off the board , and then stick it to a new piece of wall board ( plywood ) . Could you post on here or email me some pictures of the area .
