We haven't got an Adria but have a Cristall and they often are stocked by the same dealers. If it is as well built as the Cristall it will be a fantastic van.
Be aware though, they do not usually have a TV ariel (may not bother you) and the heater may only be gas fired. We had to pay to have an ariel fitted and the electric added to the fire.
Also, they are often high vans and so you may need larger porch/awning than you think.
hi we have an adora 612up no problems what so ever, only been aaway twice due to weather, very user friendly,as maryloo said they dont come with an aerial but we had the accessory pack from the dealer, well worth it,one or two reviews recently in caravan magazines which they pulled them down, but everyones requirements are different.
I have a 502DK and absolutely love it. It is not as high spec as say a Bailey, but I got a fantastic deal, and we were won over by the bed sizes - much bigger than the competition and the head room in particular is far less claustraphobic. We also negotiated an oven in our but not everyone wants one of those. Hope this helps.
hi,we've got the 562ul with single beds at the end we've had it 4years and as yet had no problems with anything on our van we love it,we go away at least once a month in our's.the kids have the single beds, they are the same size as a normal single you would get at home.i would recomend adria to anybody
We have an adria 542uk....we have 2 teenage boys who are more than happy with the rear side bunks..(both going to be 6ft+)...the rear is closed off at night so they have their privacy!!!..
We didn't have an oven fitted and have never really needed one, just used a george forman grill....bathroom is a little bit small, but we use the showers on site...Ariel we had fitted when we bought the van...
After camping for 4 years..we progressed to the caravan because our youngest son has cerebral palsy and camping was getting too much for him...although he loved being away camping!!!! we looked at alot of caravans but decided on the 542 because the bunks were so big and the price was what we could afford...OH wanted a new van...we are now into our 2nd year and I can honestly say we are more than happy...Selston caravans where we bought it from is just up the road and they are so helpful..
the only problem we have had is with top bunk mattress, but adria have admitted there was a fault and a new one is being sent to us...(just a big groove where eldest son has lay) so not that serious...
We tow with a nissan xtrail 2.2cdi and you hardly know the van is there...
I have also been looking at the Adria, and more so now the Fleetwood Sonata Prelude which the same model but higher spec. For me, the fact that all the baileys I have seen - evern 1 year old ones have loads of dents and the Adrias have the new polyester sides are a first point.
Also - in the Bailey and Abbey, the bunk beds are small and the Adia/Fleetwood will happily sleep a 6year old plus as they are so much bigger.
I rang Fleetwood last week and seems the Adria Adora and the Sonata have sold out due to massive demand. They are having a trade launch on the 18th July for the 2008 model. I am going to be calling my nearest dealer then and seeing what they say. I dont like buying a new van due to depreciation BUt in this case, I may well go and get one at Earls court and push for a big discount.
We got an 542 uk last spring and have been delighted with it. We have found it roomy, easy to tow and really well built. We had the oven and ariel fitted by the dealer.
The wetroom is a bit small but that is not a problem for us as we tend to use site facilities. The big bonus for us was the size of the beds - biggest I've seen in a van!
One thing that annoys my OH is having to leave the front table in situ as it forms the base for the front bed.
We felt we got an excellent deal (and great service) from Pearman Briggs in Glouscester - lots of extras!
Hope you enjoy whatever you end up with but we will certainly be staying with Adrias -they are certainly kid-proof!!!
