Hi, Would you not be better just buying a cheap fan heater or similar as the gas is useful if you ever go without EHU.

 Doesn`t your adria have blown air heating through ducts, most caravans the last 12 years approx have it. If not what about using a portable electric fan heater (low wattage) or a halogen heater with safety trip if you knock it over.

  this is a new van we are picking up it has blown air but is it dual fuel gas and electric?

If it's a new model it will almost certainly have both gas and electric heating. At the back of the fire will be a fan to blow the heat from either source through the ducting to various parts of the van. The handbook will explain.
