Depending on your aerial and location it may not work. ------------- He who laughs last laughs alone.

I found they often didn't work for me, as I tend to look for the more remote sites in the country, which tend to go with poorer signals
That's why I went for the satellite dish option, which always works, (except if you park right up against a mountain between you and the satellite)

THIS aerial will give you good reception with a Freeview Box. ------------- Lobey.

Only in an area where freeview is available. Unfortunately most of us go to area that are out of the big cities and are unlikely to be covered by freeview at the moment. Until freeview signals are greatly improved (apparently only operating at 1% of their capacity at the moment) then a satellite seems the only option. Given that freeview is relatively cheap however and a lot easier to set up than a satellite, it is worth considering as a cheap, easy option, but for a reliable TV signal you need a satellite. I used to carry both, but with practice of setting up the satellite, now don't bother with the freeview.

You are right, satellite does take a bit of practice (like riding a bike)but then it takes 2 or 3 minutes

Going to Lidl tomorrow to buy a cheap dish and then I`m going to use my Sat receiver from home to use in the van.
I`ve had Freeview for 12months now and its a bit hit and miss (at best).

We need a 60cm dish up here to get any sort of Sat picture. While Camping, if I cannot get my forecasts by Digital or Analogue then I would rather spend my money on a Broadband set up.
However, so far I have not had any problems in Scotland recieving Freeview and I most certainly do not camp in any city!!!
