AL-KO stabilisers need a slightly raised towball in order to fit properly.
This link explains it all

You will indeed need a different towball - Alko supply a towball with a longer neck, which is needed to accomodate the stabiliser. Most caravan shops can provide one for you, but remember to use wet & dry paper to remove the paint from the ball, allowing the stabiliser to do its job!!------------- Glyn W.

Hi you might need a swan neck tow ball but I would try the van on your tow ball that is fitted now if it fits with out catching the car you do not have to change the ball. I would clean your tow ball with white spirit to remove any grease that may be on it if you do not there is a chance you will contaminate the linings peter

If you have recently bought the van - the dealer should have fitted one for you usually free of charge if buying from them. Tight wads
