Hi All,

Looking at buying a new awning. We quite like the look of the Dorema polaris just wondering if anyone has one and what they think to it? we will only be using it at weekends and the odd weeks away So any advice and recommedations on awnings would be very appreciated.

We bought a new Dorema awning last year.  It has a profile bead for clamps which carry the hooked ends of the roof poles.  My two main criticisms are  (1) The pole hooks do not sit properly in the clamps supplied with the awning.  (2) I have known a clamp, even though fully tightened, to flex sufficiently so as to allow it to come off the profile.

I have seen an ideal alternative type of clamp which would fit our awning.  Unfortunately the owner of the clamps was French, so I do not know if they are obtainable in the UK.  Still searching.
