Hi, hope you can help.

Husband and I have just measured our caravan for a new awning. The caravan is around 14 ft in length. Measurement round caravan floor to roof end to end came out at 824cm. Now the problem is which size awning do we go for? Do we go 825cm or is it worthwhile going up a size? I don't want to make a pricey cock up so any advice would be MOST gratefully received. Thanks. Hi Claire , welcome to UKCS , i'd say if you've measured 824cm then go for a 825cm awning , going up one size will probably give you a baggy awning when set up .

The difference between 824cm and 825cm is about 3/8" which is negligable.

Difference between 825cm and 850cm is about 10" thats equal to 5" a side so to big.

I have an 825cm Trio Mexico in the loft. It's for sale when I get round to it. Where do you live.

You need an awning sized 800 - 825 cms,  not   825 - 850 cms.

On our last caravan we had an 800 cms Trio.  The ground-to-ground measurement of the van was 782 cms.

Getting the awning taut was difficult, especially if the ground rose upwards slightly from the nearside of the van.  As Wizard says, it was baggy.
