can anyone advise, on how to clean an awning roof, we went to Bristol Balloon fiesta, to do a trade fair with our daughter, and the traders camp area was right next to the fireworks launch site unbeknown to us at the time, consequently when we took the awning down last night, there was burned paper and soot marks all over the roof and it's a new awning!!, I am a little angry to say the least, as the site office had gone when we came to leave last night!!  I am going to try and ring them later, but don't know where we stand with accidents such as this,

 Just use soapy water with a sponge dont scrub though it will take the proofing off good luck.

If it's new the awning roof is probably pvc surfaced and scrubbing won't harm it.

is that like a rubbery surface, as our old one was like that but don't think this one is, It's a prestige will have to get it over the line and have a look, was too tired this morning, didn't get back till late, but don't want to leave it too long!
