It's amazing what rubbish you will talk about at 1am in the morning sat around a camp fire with a few (dozen) beers.

But can you help clear something up please.  When you pee into the van bog are you supposed to open the blade before or after the event?

I thought Van Bogs was mebbe a new make of Dutch caravan.

If I was you and drinking a few dozen beers I reckon I'd be peeing in the camp site facilities...

But the mystery of the blade.. is there one? I'd be wary of opening it in advance of the micturation and if I did I'd be very carful to make sure all was stowed away before shutting it...

I now know why I'm teetotal

Whichever turns you on  It matters not a jot.

Having experienced leakage between the two halves with the blade closed, Inow always opt for blade open.

Normally just a crack for No 1s. as it prevents the build up of liquid, and subsequent leakage.
