My neighbours wanted to buy this van but the listing looked well dodgy as soon as we saw it. We checked it out on behalf of next-door and guess what - the seller would be very happy for me to pay him via MoneyGram only and sent me some pretty crap fake invoices from ebay lol. Unfortunately the seller is away at the 'mo so there's no way I could arrange to see the van but he's very happy to tow it all the way from Truro to Cardiff for me for no charge, just as soon as the payment has cleared. Needless to say my neighbours are now looking for another van......
Hi guys and girls just been on ebay myself seen 4or 5 scams so far to day. ebay need to get there act together. just looked at a swift bridgemere 2003 4berth biding so far 1250 just thougt i would ask if it was with no reserve as quite a few caravans are they still make a good price. but guess what his just emailed me with a buy it now for 2300 so iv just emailed him back and asked has it been in the floods or in a crash. lets see what happens. ps i know the caravan is worth around 8000 lets play them at there own game it makes me so mad we lost a lot of cash last year on ebay regards all paul
I recently bought a caravan from a reputable dealer and while it was being serviced, prepped etc before collection, I saw it on sale from a private seller, same pics, text, fonts etc. the ad was pulled from ebay as quickly as it had appeared! Does this happen a lot?

Im not sure if it happens alot by i have certainly seen it happen a few times, take this one for instance there was def no van but there was certainly someones advert. This time was lucky as someone nearly fell foul and bought it, its best to do research on the caravans and see what they are really worth before being blinded by a bargain the van in questions here was worth in the region of £10,000 or above.

the worst thing that happend to me on ebay was that i replied to a seller through my msn a few days later i went to go into my ebay, it wouldn't let me in. I got intouch with ebay and they gave me new pass word............... and there on my selling list was me sellin huge extravators ( don't think i have spelt it right) but it was the really big ground drilling stuff! no way on this earth would i even know what one of those things was for. It was on a buy it now one day listing ( there had been a few one day listings so goodness knows if any was sold!)
Any way got intouch with ebay they took them off, and gave me loads of do's and don'ts
So beware........... you never know what you might be selling lol
If anybody pays for a caravan they haven seen they must be soft in the head--the only sensible way to buy a caravan off ebay is to pay cash & tow it away from the sellers home adress--
