We have a Lunar Quasar FB which has fixed bunks on the side and diner opposite which also makes bunkbeds and a large bathroom at the rear so no compromise on the bathroom space. Love it!
Our friends have similar but its difficult not to wake the kids (under 6) after they are in bed with TV on, or going in and out of the van or going to the bathroom in the night. But if kids are older then not so much a problem`
We decided that as the latest 615s have a dedicated shower cubicle, on balance we prefered the kids in there own room and slightly smaller washroom
we have an Ace Jubilee Courier (single axle) which also has fixed bunks at the back and has side bathroom and dinette but with a MPLM of 1500kg it will be too heavy for your mondeo, I even struggled on the hilly bits for the A30 with our 4x4.
