Wea are looking to buy a 5 berth caravan with dinette at both ends and side washroom with a separate shower,not a wet room. The Ace Award Nightstar seems to have this layout and we wondered if anyone has any experience of them or of any other 5 berths with this layout.

That is a great layout for families, put the kids to bed, pull the door across. Are you intending to use the bunk? The only thing I don't like is the narrow space between the kitchen and bathroom area.  Friends recently bought the Amara equivilant, but preferred the wetroom style bathroom as they thought the shower cubicle was too small and the wetroom style was roomier.

Our previous 'van was an Ace, I would recommend them.

Hi we have a Swift Challenger 490L which is a similar layout. Also has a seperate shower rather than a wet room. We moved from a Conway cruiser and have 2 teenagers. The layout suits our needs fine. The dinette at the back is L shaped and our only critisism would be that making it into a double is a pain. A parallel dinette would be less hassle! We often shuffle the cushions around, put the bunk up and use it as 2 singles which would not be possible with parallel seating. Looked at lots of caravans yesterday at Dealers 'do' but still very happy with what we've got.
