Here is a clipping from the news report. It seems going over a section of bumpy road flipped the van over!!!!! The road looks fairly straight and smooth, how fast do you have to go for a bit of bumpy road to flip the van over? 
''The accident occurred near Crows Nest, Queensland, when the couple's car hit a section of bumpy road which flipped their caravan over. Nearby residents tried to help the couple escape the car, and managed to help one victim to safety with a ladder.''
