Unless you have an aversion to using this type of combined basin/shower head, it would be easier to rectify what is there.

It seems strange to me that a basin/shower hose would be too short for it's attachment when used as a shower.

Is the current hose that supplies the basin/shower the correct one, could it have been replaced at somepoint with a shorter one, cut down, or is it snagged somewhere?

Has the hook moved or been mounted incorrectly, could you fit a rise and fall rail?

Have you had a look at a similar caravan/shower arrangment in a dealers and see where the hook is, how long the hose is etc?

If everything is all as it should be, then yes you could change it but, you would then need to think about additional taps, where to mount them, would you need to change the sink etc. Given these two options my missus would much rather sort out what was there and spend the money elsewhere - usually Schuh !!!

the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
