Safeway 56 - Have you managed to get a tin tent yet and if so where are you going to store it? We have ours near Preston as the local places had no spaces.

Of course it is possible to get through Lancaster centre.  Thousands do it every day without incident.  What I was saying and still do, is not reccommend to do it the first time towing.  Especially when you can take the M6, which is a good road even in bad weather.  I have driven over the Lune bridge many times in bad weather and found it no problem. 

However I must edit my typing on the previous post.  The road to Windermere is of course the A591 and NOT the A595.  Sorry if I confused you

I'm picking up a 'van in Bridgend on Saturday and have an understanding with a pub landlord in Wigan. He'll let me park the 'van at his pub and I do his pub quiz for free for him. Presently I have a boat tied up there(Leeds/Liverpoool Canal). I've sold the boat so the same deal applies to the 'van. It's an isolated village and quite secure. Two of his relatives have 'vans there without incident.
