Hi

I would have said the problem is with the supplying dealer.

If the caravan was bought on finance, tell the dealer you will be asking them to intervene, that usually works.

If all else fails your local Trading Standards or Consumer Direct should be able to help.

It's the dealer's problem, not explorer group.

Robin, you have no contract with Explorer Group and they can tell you to p*** off frankly. Your dealer is your point of contact and you can lean on on them with everything you can. All the way to small claims court if necessary [be prepared to]. It is the dealers job to get money from Exploere once you are happy.

Exactly.

I had a warrantee issue on my van inside the first 12 months from new, and the dealer was offering excuses about explorer this and explorer that.

Until I started making a fuss writing straight to the director, reminding him that my contract was with him and not the explorer group.  Funny how the problems were solved quite quickly after that.

The workshops will always schedule in the paying work first and warrantee work later.
