Hi, whilst cleaning our 2.5 years old caravan I was alarmed to find a black sooty stain above the outside fridge vent, on closer inspection I noticed that the inside of the vent has melted and warped. The fridge was last used on gas. Makes you think were we lucky.   Another costly repair I suppose.

We had the same problem and had to call an expert in who dismantled the fridge and found a spiders egg sac on the burner. After this was removed it worked perfectly well

when we were away over half term there was a  caravan fire in someone elses newish van :O( it was behind the fridge all the vent outside had melted the whole side panel was affected actually :O(  this fridge was on gas :O(

Hi, yes it is a Thetford fridge, model N90. I have checked the guarantee and as you say it is for 3 years, will email them and see what they say!

Almost certainly another spiders nest partly blocking the flue pipe. As I doubt this is actually covered by a warranty you may have to pay although Thetford are very good, either way though it's not much of a job and shouldn't break the bank
