I would not imagine that it were 'fellow caravaners' that had stooped so low to do this - more likely to be opportunist thieves that think they can make a quick buck either selling at a car boot or on Ebay.  They really make my blood boil!!!!Q  several years ago we had our new car stolen off the drive,  My OH was furious - the police could not really car less - gave us a case number over the phone (yes they did not even visit) and that was it, my OH said they'll not do it again I'll dangle a spark plug in the fuel tank on a piece of string - well if you had heard their response to that !!!!  we were almost arrested for 'threatening behaviour.

anyway - sorry to go on - hiope this does not spoil you hols too much!!!
