Hi all

We have to get a repair to our Bailey Ranger worktop due to dropping a cup out of the top locker. Yes I know very clumsy of me, but I was shocked how easily it damaged!

Has anyone had this kind of repair done any advice etc, Our dealer has said it will cost well over £200 pounds for a replacement plus fitting costs, which I expect will be high!

So we thought we would go for a repair instead at £140 at a recommended repair specialist?

what are your thoughts

Cheers

Libby

How bad is the damage? My sister had a tin fall out of a cupboard and damage her worktop but the dealer suggested using the laminate floor repair stuff you get from the DIY stores - it worked really well.

Can you not claim on your insurance?    I must say I never realised how easily damaged the caravan worktops were.

We had this problem, but found that it was difficult to get repair paste in the UK.  I did find this product, but never used it.

You can buy new formica to recover using impact adhesive but if you can't get an exact match then it can be espensive replacing it all, contact Baileys in Bristol direct and try to buy the worktop on it's own.

you could try a breakers yard in case they have one spare.

having said that we damaged our table laminate once and brother fixed it with filler and i painted it up to match.than clear varnish over the lot.it looked as good as new.you couldnt tell it had been damaged.
