Have now changed the size of bottles at my local building suppliers.

Just a shame my local caravan dealer wasn't as helpful

I'm an agent for Calor and you should be able to swap size of bottle and type of gas with no problem at all. You can also get a bottle without paying the hire charge or having an exchange. When i first started selling the stuff i was told if your going to lose a sale due to the hire charge being excessive then just fill a form in and let the bottle go for free. They give us a book full of forms and i haven't charged anybody the hire charge in nearly 3 years.
