Can anyone explain the difference between these two please, we are buying a caravan that is registered with thiefbeaters, but in the past we have always had our van cris registered, is it necessary to register with both, or do they both amount to the same thing. Really would appreciate some advice. Thanx.

All UK vans since 1992 have been registered with CRIS when new.

Thief beaters is a completely different thing - it's an anit-theft initiative that you can choose to use if you want to for added peace of mind.
