if its a new computer and has wirefree built in to it,should be no problem.you still need to be near a wi-fi mast for a signal.£20 for the week is good.will not change any settings for the return home.

The sort of system you mention is usually accessed through your web browser. Assuming that the site issue you with what looks a bit like a credit card which has the access codes on. So you open your browser, your laptop picks up a signal which opens the page for the provider of the service and you just key in the details on the card. Thats how mine works. I should add that my Dell does not have built in wireless so I use a USB dingle which connects for me.

Thanks for the replies, Very helpful. I think that Tregarton Park issue a code (so it says on the website) so hopefully it will work. I would just panic if I had to start changing things around inside the computer!

If your laptop doesn't have wireless ( most new ones do) the dongles mentioned above are pretty cheap.  It might be worth paying a bit extra to get wpa encryption as well as wep.  £20 a week is good.  Make sure it is for unlimited access and you pay extra for downloads over a certain limit.
