Hi, can anyone help? We are quite new to caravanning and in need of some advice. We have an Abbey GTS Vogue 215 1996 and when we purchased it, the awning that came with the van was too big (900). I measured  the van and the size I got was 885, could anyone confirm this before I purchase a new awning.  I have looked on line and got 2 different sizes, so am slightly confused.

I’d be grateful for any advice you can give me.

Hi Mum, YOUR van is only on there because I'm in the frame! I don't know what's happened to the cat, it is after all my first post and finally, I got all excited that someone had answered my post, only to find out it was you going on about caravans and cats instead of what I really want to know. What is the size of my awning!

           I recently bought a 1995 abbey vogue gts 215 and was told the awning i needed was in fact 894. It fits fine so i assume thats what they gave me!!:-) hope that helps

Hi, I am sorry for the late response, I have only just got in from work. Thank you so much for all your helpful advice and contact details/links, I will certainly check them all out before making a final decision on which make to go for.

Hi Hazel.

if you are going to buy a brand new awning decide which make and model you want and let the dealer look in his book for your make and model of you van and the onus will be on him to supply you with the correct size you require.

Hi Bandpg, thank you for that. I think the problem we have with the present awning, is that it is a continental make and the size may be incorrect. We paid nothing for it as it came with the van, so we won't lose money on it. I think by buying new, as you say the onus is on him to provide the correct size.
