Cheers everybody for your input, unfortunately the Elddis we were hoping to buy had a few problems so we decided to leave it, but we did look at a 2002 Sterling Finesse (which apparently is a Europa) and it was in immaculate condition and well looked after - and guess what, WE BOUGHT IT . We can't wait to use it now. We wish we had used this site when we first signed up to it, the tips from all you experienced caravaners/campers is brillliant. Many thanks again.

thats a good price mate.we paid just over £6k for our 2001 model 18 months ago but that was privately.
Picked up our 556 last Friday - brand new. No problems at all, everything fixed on properly - I expected a couple of mistakes on a new one - but nope - absolutely made up with it. Highly recommend - pound for pound you cant beat them - not even if you have a thing for cream coloured vans, I would get one.
We've had three Elddis vans - a Gulfstream, a Typhoon and currently our lovely Avante 482. All super vans, lovely to tow, lovely to live in. However everyone of them had a teething problem of some kind but which was easily sorted out by the dealer.
