Hi,

I would welcome any advice on choosing an awning.  We will be taking a seasonal pitch this year so want an appropriate awning, which can be left up.  We are looking for a good one.

do they come with a ground sheet?  Any tips on awnings would be gratefully received.

Thanks.

We've just bought the Bradcot Residentia, as it's designed for all season use.  It came with extra heavy duty steel poles and a thicker and stronger fabric than the other Bradcots.  Tie down kits come as standard with it.  Also...if you order at the same time, they will make you a tall annexe in the Residentia fabric at the same price as the ordinary ones.  I priced the awning on the Internet, and at the time Yorkshire Caravans of Bawtry had the best deal.  As we were in Doncaster for Christmas, we ordered it from them. They gave me a good discount on the annexe and the ground sheety-carpet stuff as well as several awning bags free gratis.

Buy the best you can afford, otherwise, you will be replacing it every 1-2 seasons. Believe you me, they have to put up with some varied weather when they are up all the time.

Just think how much longer patio furniture lasts when it's well looked after and stored in the garage when not in use, as opposed to being left outside all year round?

We have a seasonal pitch and have used an Isabella for a full season, which has so far stood up well and is showing no signs of sun fade or exceptional wear and tear.

However, prior to this we had a Harrison Berkeley, which practically fell to bits and had to be seam sealed, eyelet repaired and rubbers replaced almost on a weekly basis.

I guess like anything you pays your money and takes your choice. There are quite a few of the Inacas being purchased on our site so maybe they are a good compromise between cost\quality, time will obviously tell.

As ex Holiday Site Managers we found the TRIO range to be really good. We still use the one we bought in 1997 and believe me it had some use.
