hello all i am getting my caravan out of storage this weekend and taking it for a trip any tips on what i will need to do to it ? this is the first time we have wintered a caravan not sure if anything technical needs doing would be gratefull for help

Not sure of the technical stuff, but I would take some stuff to sterilise the water system ie milton.  Having said that, please don't use as much as hubby did, never has our van smelt so clean!!

thanks for that. we are going to a nice small site in hurley near henley only down the road from us so can escape home if anything is desperatly wrong with the van

We always bring ours home after winter storage and check all the gas and electrics are working fine, run the pipes through with some strelising soloution and also give the aqua rolls a soak in some soloution. A couple of years ago one of the pipes under the bathroom sink had developed a leak so we were glad we found out about it before we went away so we could fix it. This year we found that mice had got in the van

we have a friend who is selling hers as mice have done lots of damage and made a huge mess she says her van now looks like a giant hampster cage
