Hi my bulldog stabiliser is making a terrible groaning noise ,i was wandering if it was to tight maybe,now i know that you can test it with bathroom scales on the car but wanted to know if you test it with the tension arm down or up?

Hi, The stabiliser arm as got to be down to test the tension, I forget the tension figure now but it should feel quiet tight normally, are the friction disc's in good condition? and how old is it?

Hi i think i read that it should be 70 pounds on scale, the pads look ok and it must be a few years old as i bought it second hand.
